Kemah Boardwalk

On a recent trip to Houston, we decided one evening to take a short drive down to the Gulf Coast to have dinner at the Kemah Boardwalk. For those not familiar with the area, the Kemah Boardwalk features an entertainment district with carnival rides and restaurants overlooking Galveston Bay. Although we weren’t there very long, we had fun capturing some HDR images there just after sunset.

A Trip to the Johnson Space Center

My family and I recently took a trip to the Johnson Space Center in Houston to catch a glimpse of the science and engineering that have been a part of the NASA space program for the past several decades. Among other things, we were able to take a close-up look at a Saturn V rocket plus see the mission control center used for the Apollo lunar missions, and the training area used to acquaint astronauts with equipment used on the space shuttles and international space station.

Green Chile Cheeseburger in Paradise

Hatch, New Mexico may not be the place Jimmy Buffett had in mind when he sang his song about a cheeseburger in paradise, but the fine folks at Sparky’s in Hatch, New Mexico know a thing or two about green chile cheeseburgers.
